So yeah, was Zaido the only one who cared for youtube encodes? =p
I don't care to waste my time on Zaido alone! Have a look if you care and lemme know how it looks. FRAPS apparently is smart enough to not rainbowize efz when I record it and it looks fine! (I think!)
If everyone else is happy with just watching the replays in-game, continue saying nothing and I'll not worry about encoding more. ^^

VMan vs Meta www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rcmg_PkP9MSorry VMan, I forgot what your more recent SN name is, it's like Seiken something? VMan: I would've stopped doing all those air supers to meta after like the 3rd. They seemed ambigious to me and I would've gotten hit! But somehow meta dodged them all and they were basically wasted, since you didn't even get like guard juggle bonus or anything. After seeing meta had no strategy vs Vacuum super, I think that would've been better? So sad no B grab juggle loop too, ah well. Meta: You floated too much meter the whole game imo. One thing that's pretty easy to suggest is midscreen just do like 2abc 214214a super. Does almost 3k, save your IC and use it elsewhere get slightly more damage than your "meta special". In corner go ahead and IC the super towards the end and get a 2b5c mode change air combo. A much harder stupid combo would be 2a5bc (try to get as few hits as possible) 236a236a link 623a (one hit) IC 5c mode change 214(b/c) depending on distance to corner, 214214 super. Very hard but rewarding combo midscreen. Again if in corner just do an easier corner combo. Oh and learn SR FM, who cares if it's a completely inefficient use of meter, everyone will be impressed and you'll win the moral victory! (I have so much more to say because I actually know Mio!)

I don't watch the youtube videos but I like reading lina's commentary. Lina next time you should be our narrator for efz tournaments, assuming we ever have them again. Bring a mic and act like a sportscaster! That would go even better with the videos on youtube!

Someone else can encode one of my matches (I never will!), commentary will be easy. lina dp's, lina tried to dp and failed got hit for it, and lina stop dping and just block already!

i was curious why meta didn't play long range mode vs Vman?

I honestly don't mind it too much. Misaki is pretty insane rushdown when she wants to be and her fireballs can stuff/trade with Mio pokes in a bad way. I'm not entirely sure if Mio can safely jump in LR either with 623b being pretty buff. So if meta got stuck in LR mode, VMan might've punished that pretty badly. Just look how hard of a time he had in SR at points.
Of course in short bursts LR is fine, change mid block string, throw an arrow or two, toss cards, do backwards floating flame spit thingie, probably all safe in moderation. But a dedicated LR stand against VMan? I don't think it's a good idea.

I don't know so much about nayukiA except that more jam = scary. my strategy was "oh crap, i better knock her down before she kills me with all those jams!"

I've heard Raven talk about that matchup. Mai basically has no real reliable knockdown options against NayukiA. One idea was a 5b (close) -> Shoulder Charge (4c?) link. Which is really really hard, have to wait so you don't get a 5bc chain. All you can do is make sure all the combos end in knockdown, maybe give up a bit of damage to do so. The other thing is to use 6b IC 6a which you did at one point. Last "unique" matchup I can find. (Where's all the Zaido replays? I couldn't find any) Lev vs I believe tenken someone confirm for me please. I didn't label it in case I was wrong lol. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6w0I1elOGbUDon't really have anything to say to Lev, nice realizing EX ball would punish sayuri gun. I wouldn't have even tried lol Tenken: I dunno if gun kept missing because of mayu or what but you basically should've used Rugal super every single time. Drop the second hit of 5c and just use Wallslam. Nice combo sense, you did a random j.b and added a j.bc dash j.ac into almost combo in the corner. I have terrible air to air sense with sayuri and can't do air chains outside of combos with her. Don't even try to beat out mayu running grab, just jump out or EX Wallslam (or some other invincible) through it. If she starts running it's probably too late to poke her out, just do it pre-emptively or jump. Also you probably realize by now but Mayu 623 is air UNblockable. RGable only.

Yeah, that's my nub Sayuri. Kawakami Tomoko must be rolling in her grave after witnessing this beatdown... Thanks for the advice. I basically have no experience with Sayuri other than vs Spatula, and a couple of casual rounds vs Meta's Mio. Was a nice change though, since there are too many Mai players .

It should be worth watching the person who came out on top of the Socal + Blitz bracket. But no NayukiB replays were to be found, I blame Eric.

I remember Lev's ex ball against Sayuri gun after block. Those were 2009 days when Lev assisted in my amounts of netplay along with Treus. Then I learned the mechanic not to shoot the gun. Then again, I press on the keyboard way too fast.
Treus was very much autopilot but I'm so horribly bad against his Misuzu. At first I thought I was ready with my netplaying but then I realized the netplay reduces the success on combos via lag. I need to figure out how to stop getting nailed by ground-to-air dash j.B then j.C. I seem to try to low block everything. Well, that's probably also why I got creamed by Mai's air dp.
I'm sure it's a tournament thing. I kept going for j.A despite knowing that j.A in the way I went for it actually does not work in general. The mentality was to stay away from crossups and high/low mixups, and then go for baiting DPs by throwing an RG, but then I realized I was air dashing too so I can't block.
Two nights before I forgone the Maon concert to get matches with Meta' and went 0 - 10 or something. I wonder if it's a mechanics thing or a matchup thing. Then again I usually went 0 - 10 against people's mains anyways. :V
If we do this again (Koji's house like in 2006? Er wishful thinking.), we'll probably make sure to instill replays first.
I was definitely confused by the game itself lagging. I was like whoah this is like real time netplay, but the game itself was lagging.
Was it possible (as concluded) that the keyboard usage by two people does cause weird inputs?
I'm going to just go and learn Akane's j.B air counter on hit to do the 3 hit into command throw thing. Using the air dashed jump-in method isn't doing the best type of output. That and I need to figure out when throwing a waffle is safe. Too much opposing 5A.

i always thought the gun super was meh... and usually went for the super press after the first hit of the 5C? i think it works that way... but yea...
btw if u have trouble with the jb to jc and stuff what u can do is just RG the jB and try to retaliate with 5A(if ur 5A hits high enough) to stop the jC if u really dotn want to deal with it... or just RGing the jB makes whatever comes after slightly slower so its easier to see coming.
