EFZ randomly minimizes during arcade mode, and, when switched back to full screen, will only show a black screen (Although audio still continues), and will stop accepting any input from my keyboard. (Or, at least I think it does. No sound effects play when I press the attack buttons, although I can still ALT+F4 out of it). This doesn't seem to happen in any other game modes, although I honestly haven't been any of the other game modes for more than a few minutes. I'm running on an old ViewSonic Media Center (Not sure what model) running on Windows XP. It has a bit of a reputation for overheating alot and being a bit sporadic during games, but nothing this bad. I've also turned off as many background programs as I can, although I still have a CD drive emulator and an antivirus program running. So, if anyone can tell me what exactly is going on and how to fix it, it'd be greatly appreciated

EFZ can be automatically minimized when a program opens like a new chat in an instant messaging program, and when you remaximize it it becomes like that as you stated. The best way I've dealt with it is just to not run anything that would make a popup while you're playing your game, or put an away message if you're on an instant messaging program.

I figured that much... But, ah... The computer I run EFZ on doesn't have an internet connection, so no IM :/ Other than the CD emulator and the antivirus, EFZ was all I was running. Thanks for the help, though I should have done this earlier, but... I'll try again with those two turned off tomorrow and report how it goes.

I have had this program and using a windows activity monitor (something along those lines) I've found it's the hp printer program (one of those) that's causing the problem. So then I just turned off the autostart with windows for HP and that fixed it.

So then I just turned off the autostart with windows for HP and that fixed it. Aye, thanks I tried uninstalling some of my HP software (My EFZ computer's not connected to our network anyway,) and it seems to have helped a lot. I'm still noticing a lot of minimizing, though. It seems to happen approximately every half hour, give or take a few minutes. I thought it might have been Media Center, but... I tried shutting that down, and no dice. I've had everything in my taskbar tray shut down when this happened. Any help?

Maybe you have some spyware or viruses or something. Push ctrl+alt+delete and kill all unnecessary processes, if it still happens, then maybe it's the antivirus program...
