If you run into any problems with the new netplay, please post about it here. A hijackthis log and any details on connection and configuration would be helpful. It could have something to do with connection quality, because some people desync sometimes but not other times... Known People with Issues:Akuun/Miroku: Desync only when playing each other. Against other opponents it works fine. Finale: Messed up colours Hitaro: First game will sometimes work, second game always desyncs. DSL. Rightot: Unable to establish full connection with opponent. Black screens/crash. Firewall/version issue? Shiki?(can't remember for certain): Game desyncs (university connection). Vman: Game desynced at his friends house, which was a different router (apparently unstable) and connection (DSL). Using the same computer on cable, no desyncs. Zar: Game seems to run at 40-50fps @ 50ms latency. Multiple settings tried to no avail. Cable internet.
A faulty video card was to blame.

Correction:
Hitaro's first game desyncs, resulting in his opponent crushing him and moving onto round 2 while he slowly pokes with a barrage of "a" attacks on his side.

That's interesting. When I played him, the first game worked for us. I guess it warrants further tests. I hope AVC finds this thread!

Rightot seems to have problems where on his opponent's side, right after they connect and determine frame skip, the opponent sees the title screen but then it crashes.
According to Rightot, he just sees a black screen after frame skip is determined, then the program closes.

I consistently desync after one match with Miroku. Both of us have played other people just fine.

About de-sync :
Use different settings (except key configuration) between two players is the primary reason for desync.
For example, one player sets the graphic effect to "simpleness" but he's opponent is "normal", this will cause the random number lose synchronization.
