Hard mode against KasumiWell, for me and some friends we found the game somewhat slow and I don't remember why but then again we didn't really play the game much.

I don't really like 3d games, I can't think "3d". Actually, I am not a 3d gamer either. Most of the time, I play 2Dish, such as in this game. But when the opponent keeps sidestepping to dodge or just messes up your combo(By altering their character's position), I have to adapt to suit the game. I will include speculations on two characters I kind of mastered: Hardy Alfort -------------- A pseudo Cable, but more balanced. Still, he is one of the top tier. Strength + His gunshots can travel all the way through the screen. + Possibly the one who can deal great damage with little effort, with the use of his shotgun. Gunshot then ended up with shotgun is an insult to injury when you are given enough spare time to reload your gun again. + Has a command move, which acts as both sidestep and attack. Weakness - His guns needed to be reloaded quite often, else he cannot do most of his move. Not to mention you cannot rely only on his normal for the win, even if they are above average. - His trump, the rifle, has limited bullet count(8 in total). Outspend it, and you might have a trouble in the rest of the battle, even if you gain 1 bullet per round start. Kakeru -------- Rushdown character. Strength + Can be nicknamed the king of guardcrush, with his chain can be up to 8 hits. + Able to go into two types of sword stances. One will focus on high attack(And will give him upperbody invulnerability during attack) and one will focus on low attack(Gives him lowerbody invulnerability during attack). + He has a high priority EX move, which can be enchanced. Weakness - He does not have a long ranged attack. - His sword stances limit most movements. He cannot block or sidestep during stances, making him an easy target of projectile attacks. - He does not have a launcher. This limits his attack pattern quite a lot. [EDIT: I think I kind of understand why people say about this game being slow. Fact is, the damage ration is quite low in this game that normal combos will not do any higher than 2000 unless BMB'ed or end with an EX. And sometimes in a round, a player gets to Brake Burst twice the longer it is prolonged.

Fia, you should to do a combo video for this game if you haven't already. I'd be interesting to see (at least for me).

Has anyone played Hinokakera version 2? As far as i know, the author did a faster gameplay than older version 1.1 (just configuring game speed to high), and some technical changes (for better gameplay).
It has netplay now, but i think it's not perfect and can be laggy. (Don't really know, 'cause i was the game host and my friend, who was the client, said laggy, but in my house stayed slow, but constant.

LOL!
Engerel, i've wrote to you about your FAQs on Hongfire some days ago! nice to see you here. Well, i'm translating manual with google translation help and too much patience. My english isn't perfect (it's not my native language), but i think it's better than google. I've done great progress, since i'm entering on movelist now. But i would like to see your txts.
By the way, great game... I need to disable Malath player, but impossible to me beat game on even at hard mode ^_^

Hey guys!
I've found a chinese forum that has a hacked version of Hinokakera that allow us to play with Malakh, the angel! So I discovered that anyone can put some extra files to normal hinokakera to play this hacked version.
If someone is interested, i can send these files, it's very small. Just contact me!
