When you launch EFZ, you're stuck on a black screen, and you've got to alt tab to see an awful error message like this one
(I'm using applocal that's why I can see kanji's error message)
So, follow the guide:
1/ Download Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit, here:
www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7352
And install it (yup pretty obvious).
(select ApplicationCompatibilityToolkitSetup.exe)
2/ Go to the folder where you installed it (by default it's got to be something like this "c:\Program FIles\Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit")
Then go to Compatibility Administrator (32-bit) (even if you're on a x64 OS) and launch Compatadmin.exe
3/ Right click on "New Database(1) [Untitled_1] and choose: Create New->Application Fix...
4/ Complete the fields as you wish and click on browse to select EFZ.exe. Then click next.
5/ Skip the Compatibility Modes screen by clicking "next".
6/ In the Compatibility Fixes screen, enable ForceDirectDrawEmulation. Then click next.
7/ Click Finish
8/ Click on the save button, give your database a name and save it where you want (I saved it in the EFZ directory)
9/ Then Right Click on your database and select install.
10/ Launch EFZ.exe
11/ If colors are messed up follow these additionals steps
12/ Open notepad, create a new txt and add this in it:
@echo off
taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
EFZ.exe
Start explorer.exe
13/ Save it as launcher.bat in the EFZ directory , don't keep the .txt extension!
14/ Launch the launcher.bat you just created, enjoy! (It will kill explorer.exe so it can mess up your desktop icons organization).
PS: I've written this very fast because I promised it for tonight and my internet connection is really instable. Therefore, sorry if there is lot of engrish, I didn't took time to proofread it.
PPS:

If you use windows8 or 8.1, you might also need to activate D3DWindower (thanks to lwl).
